The Gnomish Vale

 Last time we ended with seeing the hill people up ahead and coming to a halt. We decided to send Grumble up ahead with the invisibility ring. So Grumble heard they were talking about us and went back to the group and told them that we should just talk to them (because we have made friends with hill people before as a madder of fact that is were we got our rangers). So that's what we did and we told them that we were going to the Gnomish Vale and they said that they were friends with the gnomes and that they would be happy to bring us there.  When we were greeted by lots of gnomes and taken to their king so we could ask him about trade with Borovia, and the Caverns of Soykanth  (were this Demonomicon book is). So when we talked about trade they agreed, and they told us that the sword I Leonidas was looking for was inside a rock and the rock was taken by giants to a black temple. But when talked about the caverns they said they were forbidden to tell us and they said that they would take care of these "miscreants" (he means the Witch, Sirus Maxamus, and Calsidius). While Consantine says ya like you took care of those giants who took the sword.  Then the king went storming off to bed. And the next day we decided to go take care of the giants that took the sword to make peace with the gnomes so they could tell us were the caverns are. So we told them that we are going to these giants and they said that they would be happy to tell us were the caverns are after we killed the giants...

Okay, I was sick last game but I do know that we killed some hobgoblins and didn't find the Gnomish Vale. But did spot it thanks to Boris the druid's hawk he's training. Its only about eight hexes away, the only problem is finding the path to it. So we went on with our journey. There was an intersection up ahead. When we got to it we saw GIANT tracks on the path, so we figured there is some giant up ahead. We made camp on some hills away from the tracks. In the middle of the night we heard trees falling and giant foot steps, and then they just came to a halt and went way off in the other direction. Then later in the night we heard the same thing only there were multiple ones and this time they didn't run away. We heard them trying to tip toe it sounded like tip toe, tip toe, "hahahahaha", tip toe, tip toe, "hahahahaha". We noticed one of them was sneaking behind us and the other two in front. All the fighters ran up front and started beating up the two front giants while Grumble slipped on the invisibility ring and back stabbed one of the front giants. The front giants were down in no time but the back one took awhileto take down. Once he saw our fighters turning around with bloody swords, and his friends dead he ran. Mr. Moore shot a lightning bolt and took him to the ground then our fighters finished him off. The giants themselves didn't have very good loot but once we found their cave we got copper, gold, and silver. We then started on our journey again and our rangers spotted hill people up ahead...

By the way we switched over to ad&d so Grumble will be a full time thief, so he and the other thieves can now back stab for triple damage!

Here are some things to catch up on.

Okay, I am sorry I haven't been posting I have been playing Skyrim and our computer was broken for a while. But I am going to be blogging again and there is a lot of stuff to catch up on. So I will start with Ravenloft. We finished it and we cleared it out. Now it is ours, we also got some new recruits named Constantine, a wizard and Boris, a druid. We also have two rangers known as Meat Shield 1 and Meat Shield 2.  We heard that Calsidius and Sirus Maximus are working together to find a book called the DEMONOMICON and so was the witch. I was thinking man, Soap would have loved this(Soap loved chaos). Apparently an evil witch called Ingvilve (I think that's how its spelled) made the Demonomicon and now word has it that all these bad guys want it because it can summon DEMONS.  Now we have found out from Srahd's writings that it is in Ingvilve's caverns and Ingvilve's caverns are around a Gnomish Vale, so we set out into the mountains to find it. Oh, and there was one thing I forgot Soap and a few other guys died and now we have Digit and Leonidas I play Leonidas a greek paladin! Leonidas got a magical war horse on a quest, and he got a vision of an eagle flying to a magical sword that we think is around a gnomish village. I thought oh Holy Avenger!

Strahd's weak death!

So we got the church guy on our team and we headed towards the castle. So of course we talked to Leif he pointed to Strod's study cause the church guy said we need to find the book of raven kind. Then we unshackled Leif. Of course we ran into a few wraith's here and there but we managed to defeat them. Then we finally made it to the study. There was a bit of furniture bookshelf;s and a fireplace. But what's weird is there was a panting of Irina above the fireplace. And then popping up from behind one of the chair's is Strahd! And he said "see you have brought my bride to me and gestured to the panting. I also would like the book of Unspeakable Shame and I will let you have a safe passage out of the castle. And elf were are you would you be as so kind to step forward." Forlorn stepped forward and ten the next thing you now He says "yes master." and started rummaging through his backpack and trying to find the book of Unspeakable Shame. So Shy grabbed him and put his hand over his mouth. Then Mordaci took out his dispel evil scroll and cast it on Strod and KILLED STRAHD FOR GOOD! After that Soap did detect magic and found the hilt to the broken sword and the book of Raven Kind. As soon as we piccked up the hilt the hilt put on the sword of Borovia's hilt exploded this hilt came flying in and fit perfect with the sword of Borovia! As soon as it happened the sword glowed like the sun and the hilt had a picture of the sun on it. So we flipped through the pages and found a picture of the sword it said it was called the sun sword. We found a picture of a sun  stone wich was probebly the holy simbol. And we found a holy icon that apperently had an evil cleric stuck in it! So we cast communeand asked was that Strahd we killed and they sayed yes! So we called a time out so right as we get back we could ask the other two question's!                                THE END!

Sorry  I haven't posted in a while because I have been in Africa. So now at the when we started we were debating whether we should go back to the castle or stay at the mansion. The majority was stay (bad mistake). So came and asked us for some holy sword that we stole last time. Then he said if you don't give me it by midnight I'll launch and attack and he did. When it happened we were testing the wand of fireball. So we quickly ran into the house and hid in the basment. And then a giant fireball came smashing down and blew a hole in the house. Then Strod started chanting somthing. Then A few minutes later some giant thing came smashing through th house at full speed until it started leveling the house itself. So then we retraeted back behind the house. That's when it came out from all the rumble of what was the house. It was a earth elemental! We easily killed it before it could attack us (man I love magic missiles).Then w heard chanting again and Barzaii just disaepeared then we noticed a rat scurry off into the woods. And then we heard a bird of prey off in the distance and we figuered Barzaii was dead.                        THE END!
